ANM News, Desk: Petrol and diesel prices registered an increase again on Thursday after a day's break. Oil marketing companies in the country's four major metros Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai have increased the price of petrol by 10 to 11 paise, while the price of diesel has been increased by 20 to 22 paise per liter. On the other hand, looking at the rise in crude oil, petrol and diesel are likely to be more expensive.
According to the website of Indian Oil, petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai have increased to Rs 81.70, Rs 83.26, Rs 88.40 and Rs 84.74 per liter respectively.
Diesel prices in the four metros have also increased to Rs 71.62, Rs 75.19, Rs 78.12 and Rs 77.08 per liter respectively. Petrol and diesel prices have increased six times this month, after which the price of petrol has increased by 54 paise per liter in Delhi, while diesel has become expensive by Rs 1.16 per liter.
